1 Thing, Every Day

One of our ongoing goals is to spend less time managing “stuff.” To that end, we have set a goal to recycle, give away, sell (garage sale, eBay) or otherwise dispense of one thing, every day. Here’s what we’ve cast forth to date:

10 paint cans (D)

3 containers of insecticide (D)

2 old rechargable batteries (D)

1 glider rocking chair and footrest (G)

1 telephone stand (S)

22 articles clothing (S)

1 lamp (S)

1 huge box Duplo blocks (S)

15 assorted glasses, mugs, cookware (S)

3 large bags clothing & shoes/61 items (G)

1 Graco baby car seat (G)

Another large bag clothing & shoes/24 items (G)

1 lamp (G)

3 pairs drapes (G)

1 Snuggli baby carrier (G)

1 large bag of coats and blankets (G)

    Good Job! If I can just stop procrastinating, I’ll get started on my junk ridding project as well. I was going to do the one thing to the Goodwill a day thing, then it became three, but nothing actually made it to Goodwill. The problem is, Goodwill is only a mile away, pretty much on my way to everywhere. I’m a slug. You make me ashamed.
